Frederick S. Brightbill, M.D.

Dr. Frederick S. Brightbill is the Medical Director at New Vision. He is a world-renowned corneal surgeon and specialist in corneal disease, and has over 27 years of experience in the field. He is a clinical professor at the Medical School of the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and past physician and surgeon for many years at Davis Duehr Eye Clinic.

 

 

Refractive Surgery
  • Has performed refractive laser procedures since 1994.
  • Second ophthalmologist to perform refractive laser eye surgery in Wisconsin, and first in the city of Madison.
  • Principal investigator for the Bausch and Lomb Technolas excimer laser during the FDA approval process 1994-96.
  • International physician instructor/trainer for VISX, Inc. Santa Clara, CA 1997-present.
Other Accomplishments
  • Medical Director of the Eye Bank of Wisconsin for 25 years.
  • Author of internationally recognized textbook "Corneal Surgery - Theory, Technique and Tissue", Mosby (now in its 3rd edition)
