Assessment of eligibility - We will check
your glasses or contact lens prescription and provide a form
for you to complete regarding your eye history and general
health.
Corneal Mapping/Wavefront Analysis - Topographic mapping is done to rule out
disease. Eyes with increased risk of induced
distortion undergo wavefront testing to maximize the results
of the LASIK surgery.
Slitlamp Exam - You will be screened with a microscope to rule out dry eye, corneal
disease and cataracts.
Educational video - Our 14 minute video
demonstrates how simple and painless refractive surgery really
is.
Q&A - You will have ample opportunity to raise questions and have them answered
by Dr. Brightbill and our knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Your initial exam can also serve as the
entire LASIK work-up for your procedure. This takes about one
hour.
